BARBARA SCHASTOK

“Give every day the chance to be the best day of your life.” – Mark Twain
Barbara Schastok is an artist based in Santanyi whose work is characterised by an intuitive, material-oriented approach.
In her studio, she creates both abstract, relief-like works in acrylic and with a palette knife, as well as poetic natural motifs such as flowers and expansive meadows.
Her art balances structure and lightness: layers of acrylic, filling compound and metallic accents meet organic forms, delicate colour palettes and atmospheric fragments of landscape.
This diversity is part of her artistic process, which does not follow a fixed motif but rather the inner rhythm of colour, material and mood.
Barbara Schastok also works in series, each of which unfolds its own themes and atmospheres, ranging from maritime spaces of memory to floral compositions that capture tranquillity, growth and natural movement.
Her studio serves as her personal space of resonance, where intuition, experimentation and contemplative depth converge.
This gives rise to works in which material, colour and nature become quiet, breathing inner landscapes.
Art makes things visible. It transcends borders and continents, language barriers, space and time, and connects people in the moment of contemplation.
