Some of my basic knowledge of painting I acquired as an autodidact associated with courses at the community highschool of Zurich as well as further courses at home and in other countries.

The art which I’m creating originates from nature, the source of my inspiration.
It is an inner urge, the consequence of a kind of necessity, to visualize seen and expériences.
Art makes visible, art overcomes borders and continents, language barriers, room and time.

The compositions of colours connected with contrasts of colours and the arrangement of lines and shapes form the tensioned arc of the picture.
The one who looks at a picture develops ideas and imaginations. Either the representational as well as the non-representational pictures talk to us without using the circuitous route of conceptual articulation. They either appeal to us or not. The intention and expressive strength of the artist remain unaffected independently of this painting.
